Tactical Asset Allocation (TAA) is a type of semi active investing methodology that periodically shifts the allocation of various asset classes (i.e. commodities, equities, bonds and cash) to take advantage of market trends or prevailing economic conditions. The aim of TAA is to devise strategies that reduce portfolio drawdowns and increases long term returns as compared to the traditional buy & hold approach of Strategic Asset Allocation.
